For the 3rd installment of our Heritage Lager Series we teamed up with another former local Brewmaster. From the now closed James Page Brewing Company, Jim Hoeft. James Page Brewing was a brewery located in NE Minneapolis. Founded in 1986, it continued operations at the original location until 2002. James Page is recognized as the first brewery to brew a commercially made beer with Wild Rice. So this is an homage to James Page and our native grain wild rice. A Wild Rice Pilsner. 20% of the grist is Minnesota grown wild rice. Northern Brewer hops accompany the wild rice for a subtle earthiness. Saaz hops with a kick of spice on the back end. A unique, crisp, refreshing lager bier! Prost!
